Serious cutaneous reactions eg, DRESS, TEN (Lyell's syndrome) & SJS. Patients should seek immediate medical advice if experiencing muscle weakness, pain or tenderness. Elevated liver enzymes & jaundice may occur during therapy (usually reversible upon discontinuation). Patients w/ biliary disease & biliary tract obstruction & those w/ impaired transport & metabolism of bilirubin. May increase risk of developing antibiotic resistance w/ extended or recurrent use. Monitor liver function in patients w/ hepatic dysfunction. Must not be co-administered w/ statins. Concomitant use w/ HIV-PIs. Avoid use during pregnancy. Lactation. Risk of kernicterus in neonates.
Fucidin Tablet Not to be used in patients w/ galactose intolerance, Lapp lactase deficiency or glucose-galactose malabsorption.
Fucidin Suspension Not to be used in patients w/ fructose intolerance & glucose-galactose malabsorption.
